PURPOSE:To apply a force uniformly to a paper and reduce dispersions of an adjusted value, by providing a carriage supported on a fixed base so that it can be brought into parallel movements to the front and rear sides with respect to a printing head, a reduction gear for moving the carriage, and a driving circuit for driving the reduction gear so as to obtain an appropriate printing head gap. CONSTITUTION:A carriage 8 is supported on a fixed base 9 so that it can be moved to the front and rear sides with respect to a head 10. A stepping motor 1 transmits motive power to a reduction gear 2. The reduction gear 2 comprises a spur gear 3, a spur gear 4, a worm gear 5 and a worm wheel 6, and moves a shaft 7. A driving circuit 11 drives the motor 1 according to a control signal from a controlling part in a main body of a printer device, thereby adjusting a platen gap. |
