PURPOSE:To improve the color reproducibility of a sensitive material by incorporating a specified compd. in the emulsion layer contd. in the sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The compd. (for example, the compd. shown by formula I) capable of being released a compd. (its precursor) which scavenges a reaction product obtd. by allowing it to react with the oxidant of a developing main agent, is incorporated in the silver halide emulsion layer contd. in the sensitive material. The positive image is formed by developing the sensitive material with a color developing solution in the presence of a fogging agent. At that time, the developing agent (A) contains preferably hydroxylamines shown by formula II and/or the phosphoric acid compd. In formula I, Coup is a coupler residual group, TIME is a timing group, Sc is a scavenger (or its precursor), (l) is 0 or 1. In the formula II, R<1> and R<2> are each hydrogen atom or alkyl group. |
