PURPOSE:To accurately analyze a component, by providing a solid electrolyte composed of a substance containing tricalcium phosphate, standard electrode and a measuring electrode and measuring the electromotive force between both electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A graphite crucible 8 is provided in the aluminum reaction tube 10 received in an electric furnace and phosphor bronze is melted in the crucible 8. The lead wire 3 of a measuring electrode made of a nickel wire is immersed in said molten phosphor bronze and an one end closed pipe 5 made of tricalcium phosphate is immersed in the molten phosphor bronze. Phosphor bronze (reference substance) 6 containing 14.5% of phosphorus is melted in the pipe 5. A reference electrode lead wire 2 made of a nickel wire is immersed in the molten phosphor bronze acting as the reference substance. The electromotive force generated between both electrodes of the lead wires 2, 3 is measured by a precise voltage measuring device. By setting the linear relation between said electromotive force and the concn. of phosphorus to be calibration curve, the concn. of phosphorus in a molten metal can be accurately analyzed. |
