PURPOSE:To stabilize charge-discharge performance and to lengthen charge- discharge cycles by specifying the volume of an electrolyte of a secondary battery using titanium disulfide as a positive active material, lithium as a negative active material, and 2-methyl tetrahydrofuran containing lithium ions as an electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:In a secondary battery using titanium disulfide(TiS2) as a positive active material, lithium(Li) as a negative active material, and 2-methyl tetrahydrofuran containing lithium ions as an electrolyte, the volume of the electrolyte is limited to that obtained by adding at least 0.32XMcc to the volume filling the pores of a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator (where M is the weight of titanium disulfide/used as the positive active material.). Even if the solvent in the electrolyte is absorbed in titanium disulfide crystals by charge-discharge, since the separator is always filled with the electrolyte, increase in internal resistance is prevented and charge-discharge performance is stabilized. |
