Known switching devices control the washing-solution flow via various outlet stubs with the aid of a perforated, rotatable disc cam which releases the openings of the individual outlet stubs alternately. The outlet stubs are sealed off in this case with respect to one another via a labyrinth seal. This type of seal is only sufficient at low dynamic pressures. At higher pump circulating powers undesirable leakages are produced via water by-pass routes. The novel switching device has the object of improving the degree of sealing between the disc cam and outlet-stub opening in such a manner that even the use of pumps having a higher circulating power is possible. The disc cam (9) is flexible and covered on its top side by a disc (12) made of soft sealing material and is pressed by the pump pressure in a sealing manner against the opening edges of the outlet stubs (4), (5), (6), (7), (8), which opening edges are provided with an annular bead (13). Because of its high degree of imperviousness the switching device is suitable for use in washing machines with a washing-solution recirculating process. <IMAGE>
