PURPOSE: To reduce data loss owing to an input/output error and a power source fault by discriminating a file containing the input/output error, preventing a succeeding restarting routine from accessing to the file. CONSTITUTION: A log record is written during a normal processing, a recovery log is scanned during re-execution and the completion of a recorded processing is recognized. Recovery from detected imperfect or failed log writing is executed and an uncomitted transaction is cancelled. The file with the input/output error is detected, a flag is given and a succeeding restarting operation is prevented from performing access to the file. Moreover, as a part of restarting procedure, an error index file is automatically restored. Thus, the input/output in the index file is prevented from causing data loss. |
