Miniature motor with a worm reduction gear

The electric motor has a motor shaft (4) which is extended by a given length and supported by 3 spaced bearings (14,15,21) together with the worm (18) of the reduction gearing. This has a bore into which the end of the shaft (4) projects, with a given distance between the worm (18) and the central bearing (14). Pref. the latter bearing (14) is supported by an end plate (5) attached to the motor housing (16) to form a single motor unit. The dia. of the worm (18) is pref. 8 mm when the dia. of the motor shaft is between 3 and 5 mm. -
