PURPOSE:To prevent a crack and a chip and to improve symmetric property of refractive index distribution by cutting out gel which has been obtained by allowing sol liquid to gel in a vessel to a required shape and drying it outside the vessel and sintering it. CONSTITUTION:Sol liquid is introduced into a vessel 1 and gel 2 is obtained by allowing the sol obtained by hydrolyzing the sol liquid to gel. Then a rapping jig 3 is inserted into this gel 2 and taken out and dried and thereafter sintered. |
