PURPOSE:To vary timbre finely and complicatedly by performing variable control over the synthesization rate of a synthesizing means or the filtering operation of a filter means according to the output of a play operating means. CONSTITUTION:Waveform information is read out of a storage means 6 stored digitally with one sound signal as the waveform information and outputted after being filtered properly by a filter 7, and the output waveform information is processed by the synthesization of synthesizing means 9 and 10. Then a control means (CPU) 3 varies the mode or characteristics of filtering of the filter means 7 or the synthesization ratio of pieces of waveform information in frequency bands as to the synthesizing means 9 and 10 according to an external control signal generated by play operation to perform variable control over the harmonic tone spectrum of the synthesized waveform information. Consequently, various variation in timbre is easily obtained. |
