摘要 1,270,290. Winding stators; shearing. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. 22 July, 1969 [29 July, 1968], No. 36820/69. Headings B3A and B3W. Apparatus for winding a coil 62 for insertion into a magnetic core 184 comprises a coil turn forming assembly and coil injection equipment 20, the latter including a plurality of blades defining turn receiving slots, and means for guiding turns of wire into the slots during winding so as to form a coil directly in the equipment 20. The coil injection equipment 20 is located under a winding head 19 and a jump tube 51 is actuated to drive the winding head downwardly to position a push-plate 117 so that an extension 150 thereon abuts a first trip-bar 143, Fig. 11. A first snap-out plate 39 is concurrently released by the winding head and engaged by spring pressure against a first blade 30 of the equipment 20 in alignment with a first turn-gauging step 58, Fig. 5. A flyer 22 places turns of wire on the step 58 and after about three turns have been wound the start end of wire is released from a cutter and holder 23. When the required number of turns has been wound, as determined by a punched tape in a reader 127, a solenoid 165 is actuated so that a pin 156 engages the bar 143. The oscillatory movement of a mechanism 155 pivots the bar to allow the extension 150 to engage a second trip-bar 144. The concurrent downward movement of the winding head releases a second snap-out plate 40 to bring it into the path of the wire 62 together with the gauging step 57. The remaining coils are similarly wound and as the flyer 22 rotates around each turn-gauging step, the wire is laid on a bevel 61 of each step and it pushes the preceding turn into the openings of the injection equipment 20. The tape also controls the number of slow-down turns included at the end of the turn count of the last coil, which is necessary to allow the cutter and holder 23 to be brought into the wire path during the last turn. A mark 133 on a translucent disc 131 interrupts a light source to a photo-electric cell 135 to provide a turn count and another mark 134 co-operating with a photo-electric cell 136 indicates the position of the flyer head. The cutter and holder 23 is provided with a hook 94 having a cutting edge 95, and when the hook is engaged in a cutting block 96, the edge 95 will shear the wire. At the end of the total turn count, a stripper 24 clears the coil form assembly 21 of any remaining turns and pushes the turns into the injection equipment 20 so that they will not spring out. The stripper is then returned and the jump tube 51 and head 19 are raised thereby resetting the trip bars 143- 146 and the snap-out plates 39-43. The injection equipment 20 is then indexed 180 degrees and the coil turns of a second pole are wound in sequence. When the second coil group has been wound the equipment 20 is moved to a coil injecting station where the coil groups are axially inserted into the stator 184.
