PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity of the sensitive material and to enhance the optical density of a cyan image and to suppress color loss even if the sensitive material is processed with an exhausted bleaching (fixing) solution by incorporating a specified cyan coupler in the sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The cyan dye forming coupler shown by formula I is incorporated in the silver halide emulsion layer contd. in the sensitive material. In the formula, Ar is a substd. (or unsubstd.)aryl group, R<1> is a substd. (or unsubstd.)alkyl or aryl group, R<2> is hydrogen atom. or a substd. (or unsubstd.) alkyl group, X is a substituent group. The coupler shown by the formula is composed of a compd. shown by formula II, etc. And, a bleaching agent is composed of a complex salt of a polyvalent metal cation such as Fe(III), Co(III) or Sn(III), etc., and an org. acid, (such as ammonium ethylene diamine tetraacetate) etc. |
