PURPOSE:To continuously record many sharp images free of fogging and density unevenness on a recording medium such as an oridinary paper by permitting a transfer means to record a photoconductive toner image formed on an intermediate transfer means onto the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A layer is formed of a photoconductive toner 3 on a toner carrier 10. At this time, the toner 3 is electrified into positive polarity, for instance, due to the friction of the carrier 10 and an applying member 15, and the charged layer is conveyed on the periphery of the carrier 10 and is attracted to the carrier 10 in a position to face the intermediate transfer body 20. When an exposing device 26 irradiates light 30 through the body 20, electric charges are injected from the carrier 10 and the toner 3 is moved to the transfer body 20 to form an image. Then, a recording sheet P is bonded with the toner image on the transfer body 20, and electric charges of polarity opposite from the image are given to the back of the sheet P, which is separated from the transfer body 20, is sent to a fixing device 35. Ultimately a visible image can be obtained. |
