<p>PURPOSE:To surely read the tape positional information on a tape always by controlling the number of rotations of a rotary cylinder based on the data output by a ROM memory by the output of a rotation number detector and setting the output of the ROM so that the component of the tracking direction speed of a head becomes constant despite of the traveling speed of a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The traveling direction of a magnetic tape 1 is changed over by a driving power switch 5a according to the output of a winding direction deciding means 4, at this time a tape speed detecting means 6 detects the traveling speed of the tape 1, outputting an electrical signal. An address forming circuit 7 outputs the address of a ROM 8 corresponding to the means 6 by changing a notch width by the winding direction by the output of the means 4. This ROM 8 outputs the digital signal value in plural bits, the delay circuit 11 of a rotation number control means 10 delays the frequency signal of a rotation detector 9 for a certain time and outputs the signal of which timing is slided. The output of the ROM 8 is set so that the tracking direction component of the head 2 becomes constant despite the traveling speed of the tape 1.</p> |
