PURPOSE:To enable delicate control in a suspension device which can vary a suspension characteristic or vehicle height by detecting the stroke displacement of the displacement member of a buffering means caused by the inner pressure change of a liquid cylinder provided between a vehicle body and each wheel. CONSTITUTION:Since suspension units 20RR-20FL are similarly formed, explanation is given of the 20RR. The stroke displacement quantity of a free piston 14 as the movable partition wall of a buffering-means gas spring 8RR is detected by a potentiometer 9RR and inputted into a control unit 60. Based on this displacement quantity signal, the control unit 60 operates a liquid pressure changing quantity P in a cylinder 2RR according to a defined procedure and inputs same into a control circuit 66. The control circuit 66 calculates the control current of a flow-rate control valve 48RR based on the liquid pressure changing quantity P to control the flow-rate control valve 48RR and control a suspension characteristic. Thereby, the captioned device can be made a simple structure. |
