PURPOSE:To obtain a grout having a controllable gelation time and improved penetrability into the ground and gel strength and giving cemented soil of improved strengths, by mixing an aqueous sodium silicate solution with a specified aqueous suspension. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous sodium silicate solution (A) is obtained by mixing 70-160l, per 400l of an obtainable grout, of sodium silicate (a) (e.g., No.3 sodium silicate as specified by JIS K1408) with water (b). Separately, 400-160kg, per 400l of an obtainable grout, and 0.2-0.45 pt.wt., per pt.wt. component (a) (net), of a cement (c) (e.g., portland cement), and 5-100kg, per 400l of an obtainable grout and 0.05-2.7 pts.wt., per pt.wt. component (a) (net) of gypsum (e.g., betahemihydrate of gypsum) of a particle diameter <=30mum, an alkali metal hydroxide (e) and, optionally, a hydroxy carboxylic acid (or alkali metal salt thereof) are suspended in component (B) to obtain an aqueous suspension (B). Component A is mixed with component B to obtain 400l of a grout of a pH of a homogel of 12.2-13.5. |
