PURPOSE:To enable stable and highly sensitive measurement, by using a measuring body containing saccharide to determine a radiation dose from the number and relative amount of isolated groups generated by the exposure of the measuring body to radiation. CONSTITUTION:The member of isolated groups (ESR absorption value) within a measuring body is measured with an electronic spin resonance (ESR) device and compared to an ESR absorption value of a manganese standard sample as reference or the like to enable measurement of a radiation dose or a radiation dose and radiation energy from the number of relative amount of isolated groups. In this case, an electronic spin resonance dosimeter (ESRD) system is free from vanishment of the number of the isolated groups even in an ESR measurement. Therefore, in the measurement of a radiation dose, the ESR device having a repetitive ESR addition system is used to perform a repetitive addition measurement and the results of addition of the ESR absorption values are compared between the isolated groups within the measuring body and a reference sample. Thus, increase in an ESR signal value is obtained according to the frequency of addition thereby enabling more highly accurate and stable measurement of the radiation dose and energy.
