PURPOSE:To enhance the coercive force and energy product of the resulting titled alloy by preparing a specified composition contg. a rare earth metal, Cu, Fe, one or more among Nb, Zr, Ta, Hf, Ti and V, and Co. CONSTITUTION:This permanent magnet alloy has a composition contg., by wt., 24-28% R (>=1 kinds of rare earth metals), 1-<5% Cu, 1-35% Fe, 0.5-6% M (one or more among Nb, Zr, Ta, Hf, Ti and V) and >22-73.5% Co. By improving the characteristics of an R2Co<17> alloy contg. Cu, Fe and M, this alloy is provided with coercive force I Hc almost equal to that of an RCo5 alloy and higher energy product (BH)m. |
