<p>PURPOSE: To record a desired program by inspecting whether or not a bar code read by the bar code reader is corrected before it is transferred to a storage part of a receiver for programming it. CONSTITUTION: A bar code decoding circuit SA which decodes the output signal of the bar code reader, a character generator ZG which has its input terminal connected to the output terminal of a bar code decoding circuit SA, and a display D which is connected to the output terminal of the character generator ZG so as to display the decoded bar code signal in the form of easy-to- understand words are added. When the bar code is correct, the decoded bar code is displayed on the display D and when incorrect, an error message is displayed. Therefore, a user can inspect whether or not the bar code can correctly be read by the bar code reader before the bar code information is transferred. Consequently, the correct program of the video recorder is ensured.</p> |
