Bettered, high thermal and/or sound insulating modular elements consisting of a self-extinguishing, foam plastic cube (10), with a main passage, or hole (16), designed to be filled by the concrete cast, with several secondary holes (26), parallel to the main hole (16), dove-tail shaped projections (28) that extend over the entire surface of the opposite faces (32) that serve as a head and over a part of the surface of the opposite faces (30) that serve as a side. The main hole (16) is surrounded by a cavity (18) corresponding to the upper face (12) of the cube and by a projection (20), coherent with the said cavity in correspondence with the lower face (14). The modular element may have multiple dimensions of the elementary cube (10).
