PURPOSE:To effectively perform tear break action by forming a tilt bracket, supporting a column jacket, so as to be broken and torn from a slit and tearing the bracket to be wound in its side wall part through an R-part inserting a roller, when secondary collision takes place. CONSTITUTION:An upper clamp 4, supporting a column jacket 1 to a car body side through a tilt bracket 3, is formed into almost U-shape, and the upper clamp 4 forms in the inner of its both side wall parts 41 a stopper 43 to be cut and raised. The tilt bracket 3 is formed providing a side wall part 33 extending in an orthogonal direction via an R-part 32 in both sides of a vertical wall part 30 forming a cut part 31 inserting the column jacket 1, and the side wall part 33 forms a slit 34, which can be torn and broken by a load not less than the predetermined value, in the vicinity of the cut part 31. The R-part 32 inserts a roller 50, and guiding this R-part 32 to a side surface of the column jacket 1 when the bracket 3 is torn and broken, the bracket side wall part 33 is wound in the upper clamp 4. |
