PURPOSE: To reduce transmission of derivative force when an engine is in use and to prevent deformation of housing parts by fixing light metal housing parts in one body through plural bolts and tie rods screwed with each other. CONSTITUTION: An internal combustion engine has housing parts such as crankcase 10, cylinder 12 and cylinder head 14 respectively made of light metal. In order to combine these housing parts 10, 12, 14 to form a single engine block, plural tightening bolts 30 are prepared. While the head 30a of the bolt 30 seats on a cylinder head 14, its threaded end 30b is screwed into hole 10a of the crankcase 10. Plural crank rods 32 are arranged in two sides of a crankshaft 16, its threaded head part 32b is screwed into the crankcase 10 and is further screwed into the threaded end 30b of the bolt 30.
