<p>PURPOSE:To make improvements in operability by supporting an open lever, releasing engagement of a ratchet with a latch, pivotally on a mounting shaft of the ratchet, and making the ratchet so as to be rotated by rotation of the open lever. CONSTITUTION:A ratchet 8, an engagement releasing member 11, a lock member 13 and an open lever 17 are all fitted in a mounting shaft 9 pivotally installed in a body 1. In addition, the other end of a rod or a wire connected to an outside handle or the like is engaged with a lever part 19 of the lever 17. Next, a latch 4 is rotated by door closing, whereby the ratchet 8 is engaged with a full latch engaging step part 7 on the circumference of the latch 4. In addition, the lever 17 is rotated by handle operation, and the member 11 is rotated via the member 13, releasing the ratchet 8 via a pin 12. Then, motion for disconnecting the engagement is carried out with such circular motion as centering on the shaft 9. Consequently, operation can be made so lightly.</p> |
