<p>PURPOSE: To utilize a solenoid valve by itself for lightweight purposes and as a pilot for heavyweight vehicle respectively, by installing a pilot-operated hydraulic control valve by means of a lightweight vehicular solenoid valve so as to generate necessary fluid capacity for heavier vehicles. CONSTITUTION: This pilot-operated modulator to be stored in a body 2 is provided with a main piston 16, an auxiliary piston (or a spool) 17. This main piston 16 works as a spool of an exhaust valve, and slides in the body 2 so as to open or close an exhaust port 23. The auxiliary piston 17 forms a feed valve in cooperation with a supply port 20. Then pressure in a solenoid feed chamber 14 is supplied to a chamber 22 by way of a hole in the body 2, providing pilot signal pressure so as to work on a left end of the main piston 16. With this, the auxiliary piston 17 is forcibly pressed toward the stop position.</p> |
