1285663 Cutting-out apparatus WILHELM PEDERSEN AS 13 Jan 1970 [14 Jan 1969] 1684/70 Heading B4B A die-cutting apparatus for cutting-out shapes from textiles, plastic foil and like material comprises a die cutting machine 1 having a vertically movable pressure plate 1a, tables 3, 4 having tops 5, 6 respectively, the ends of which adjacent the machine being resiliently supported, a flexible pad 10 arranged, together with the material and dies layed thereon, to be fed stepby-step through the machine, the pressure plate being adapted to press the resiliently supported ends of the tables downwardly during the cutting stroke so that the portion of the pad, material and dies outside the operative area of the machine follows the movement of the pressure plate. The resilient supporting means are in the form of air cylinders 7 which are arranged to be moved downwardly by means of adjustable screws 8, engaging with the tables 5, 6. The lower pressure plate 1b is provided with a block 2 formed with inclined surfaces 2a which permit the unsupported pad and material to bend downwardly during cutting. The pad which may be of nylon is connected by a rod 15 to a chain drive 13, 14 effecting the step-by-step feed. |
