The hold for wall-climbing can be turned round its central vertical axis to take different angular positions. The shape of the hold (1) is derived from a circle (11) and is formed of arcs, parabolas, ellipses, or hyperbolas which are repeated several times. The hold's upper surface has relief markings (3) on it. The edge of the hold is perpendicular to its plane and fits into an identical shape cavity in the wall. The hold is turned in this and is held in position by a bolt through its central hole (2). This screws into a threaded socket in the wall. USE/ADVANTAGE - The removable holds are for a climbing wall and can be turned round. (5pp Dwg.No.1/2)
