The adjustable-length side-piece for a pair of spectacles consists of two sections (1, 2) one of which has a lengthwise cavity (3) in which the other is able to slide. The cavity has a regular polygonal cross-section, and the sliding section is made with a lengthwise slot (4), opening into a hollow (5), with notches (6) shaped to engage with a fixing element (7), comprising a flanged bush (10, 11) on a rivet (8, 9). When the rivet head (9) is depressed the flange leaves its notch, allowing the inner section to be moved relative to the outer one and set in a new position. ADVANTAGE - Simple and reliable adjustment, without need for tools.
