PURPOSE:To prolong the life of the developer by coating the surface of carrier nucleus particles with a diamond layer. CONSTITUTION:Since diamond is a material having the hardness much higher than the hardness of the nucleus particles and resin, the mechanical strength of the carrier particles is extremely enhanced by the diamond file and the breakage of the particles even by the long-period time mechanical impact by agitation in a developing machine is substantially obviated. Since diamond has extremely high thermal conductivity, the heat generation by friction can be rapidly dissipated and the generation of the toner sticking to the carrier surface, i.e., so-called spent toner, is decreased. The life of the toner is thereby improved. |
