PURPOSE:To provide the title composition outstanding in heat resistance and flame retardancy, suitable for electrical and electronic parts, comprising polytetramethylene adipamide, a crosslinked brominated polystyrene and, if needed, a brominated polystyrene and an antimony oxide. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprising (A) 100pts.wt. of polytetramethylene adipamide (nylon 46) pref. 2-5dl/g in relative viscosity (in conc. sulfuric acid, 0.2g/20ml) (B) a total of 25-50(pref. 25-45)pts.wt. of B1: a brominated polystyrene and B2: a crosslinked brominated polystyrene in the weight ratio B1/B2=90/10-0/100(pref. 80/20-10/90) containing 50-70wt.% of bromine, and (C) 10-45(pref. 20-40)wt.% based on the component B, of an antimony oxide (e.g., antimony trioxide, antimony pentoxide). |
