Car-radio safety lock with a rectangular housing, in which a cylinder lock is arranged centrally so as to project in an operable manner on one longitudinal side and two mutually parallel bars arranged at a distance from one another project from the opposite side and engage through two passage bores provided laterally on a car-radio mounting, the bars constituting unlatching bars which each unlatch from engagement a latching holder, arranged resiliently and laterally on a car radio and engaged into a radio housing of a dashboard, by means of a rectilinear movement in the direction of the radio housing, the unlatching bars moving along their longitudinal axis, the elements which move the unlatching bars moving in the same direction and over the same distance as the unlatching bars, the locked cylinder lock preventing the movement, the housing consisting of an inner smaller lock unit resting on the car-radio mounting and of a larger outer lock unit covering the latter at least partially, and the unlatching bars engaging in an unlatching holder which can be subjected releasably to tensile stress.
