PURPOSE:To prevent electrostatic breakdown in the hot-line insertion/extraction by providing a switching mechanism switching input signals to a semiconductor device in conjunction with an insertion/extraction lever. CONSTITUTION:A socket 1 has two plates of movable sections 3 and 4 moved in conjunction with a lever 2 capable of keeping or releasing the contact with the lead pin of a semiconductor device and pins 5 and 6 arranged below the movable sections 3 and 4. When the insertion/extraction lever 2 is thrown downward as shown by an arrow, the movable sections 3 and 4 pinch the lead pin 7 of the semiconductor device. The movable section 4 is also separated from the pin 5 and brought into contact with the pin 6 at this time. When the insertion/extraction lever 2 is returned upward, the movable section 3 releases the lead pin 7. The movable section 4 is separated from the pin 6 and brought into contact with the pin 5 at this time. A switching mechanism 10 having the movable sections 3 and 4 and the pins 5 and 6 turned on or off in conjunction with the operation of the insertion/extraction lever 2 is incorporated, the technology effective for the hot-line insertion/extraction can be provided. |
