PURPOSE:To reset a power rectifier to a normal operating state in a short time, by controlling the power rectifier based on a voltage command similar to the output voltage of a power inverter upon recovery of power. CONSTITUTION:An alpha command circuit 11 calculates control angle as a timing command for producing a voltage similar to the output voltage of a rectifier circuit 2 upon recovery of power based on the input voltage of the rectifier 2 upon recovery of power and the voltage across a capacitor 3 which is equal to the output voltage of the rectifier 2. Then a group of switching elements in the rectifier 2 are fired based on the control angle, thereafter the firing angle is corrected gradually to a target value. By such arrangement, the power converter can be reset to normal operating state in a short time. |
