PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a reactor, by employing a normal temperature superconductor in the coil of the reactor. CONSTITUTION:A reactor 6 for lowering the voltage applied onto a motor 2 and varying the rotation of the motor 2 comprises a core 7 for forming a magnetically closed circuit and a reactor coil 8 wound thereon. Normal temperature superconducting material is employed for the reactor coil 8. By such arrangement, Joule's heat is scarcely produced in the reactor coil 8 and the cross section area of the conductor in the reactor coil can be reduced. |
