PURPOSE:To prevent the danger of a burn and secure safety by providing a cover selectively covering the upper face of a top plate and preventing a pot or the like from being mounted on the top plate. CONSTITUTION:When no induction-heated cooking is performed, a cover 14 is extracted to cover the upper face of a top plate 3 at a gap 15. Under this condition, when a pot or the like is mounted, it is mounted on the cover 14 and not directly on the upper face of the plate 3. Even if the induction-heated cooking state is attained by an erroneous operation or a failure such as the contact deposition of a relay, a weight sensor detects that no pot or the like is mounted on the plate 3. A controller judges that no pot or the like is mounted on the plate 3 based on it and prohibits the execution of induction heating, thereby the pot or the like is prevented from being heated to an abnormally high temperature, and safety can be secured. |
