PURPOSE:To facilitate connection to optical fibers by laminating the polymer of a 2nd photosensitive resin on the polymer of a 1st photosensitive resin and making the refractive index of the latter higher than the refractive index of the former. CONSTITUTION:The polymer 2 of the 1st photosensitive resin is laminated on a base 1 and the polymer 3 of the 2nd photosensitive resin thereon and the refractive index of the latter is made higher than the refractive index of the former. The combination of the 1st photosensitive resin and the 2nd photosensitive resin is satisfactory if the refractive index of the polymer 2 of the 1st photosensitive resin is lower than the refractive index of the polymer 3 of the 2nd photosensitive resin. While the combination is not particularly limited, the combination in which photolithographic characteristics, particularly sensitivity and developing characteristics are analogous are more preferable in case of simultaneously executing a photolithographic process. The connection stage is thus simplified by adequately selecting the film thicknesses of the respective layers in case of butting the end faces of light guides 2, 3 and optical fibers 4, 5 and connecting the same. |
