<p>PURPOSE:To execute high-speed retrieval without executing condition branching at the time of signal processing by providing an input register, threshold memory, comparator circuit, address register, control bit set circuit, bit set circuit, and quantization memory. CONSTITUTION:The input signal of the register 1 is compared with the threshold of the memory 2 in the comparator circuit 3 which outputs the information on the value of the decision as to whether said signal is larger or smaller. The address register 4 stores the output of the control bit set circuit 5. The circuit 5 substitutes an arbitrary bit with the binary information on the decision as to whether the signal is larger or smaller by the output of the register 4. The bit set circuit 6 substitutes the output of the control bit set circuit 5, upon receipt of said output, with an arbitrary bit '1' and assigns the address of the threshold memory 2. The quantization value for the threshold is previously stored in the quantization memory 7 and the address is assigned by the register 4 to make output. The quantization computation using this retrieval method is executed in a short period of time with the circuitry of a small scale without executing conditions branching at the time of the signal processing according to this constitution.</p> |
