Process and device for breeding aquatic animal larvae in their early stage of development. According to the invention, the development of the microflora and/or of parasite is interrupted by changing the medium of the larvae, by using at least one breeding container comprised of an outer watertight vessel (19) and of an inner vessel (18) provided on its side with selective flow areas which let nothing but the breeding bath pass through, while keeping the larvae inside the vessel.
