<p>PURPOSE:To keep the forward recognition distance of a driver nearly constant by detecting the lighting distance for a road surface of the main optical axis of a lamp of a vehicle by a distance detecting means and adjusting the lighting distance within a prescribed range through an optical axis driving means by an adjusting means. CONSTITUTION:The lighting distance for a road surface of a main optical axis irradiated in beam form from a light LA of a vehicle is detected by a distance detecting means SC consisting of a light pulse reader device. On the basis of the detection signal, an adjusting means CO drives an optical axis driving means MO, and adjusts the lighting distance of the main optical axis of the lamp LA in a prescribed range. Therefore, without being influenced by the road state or the loading state of the vehicle, an always stable lighting distance of the main optical axis of the lamp can be obtained, and the forward recognition distance of a driver can be kept nearly constant.</p> |
