A structured body, for example having a masonry structure, is produced by coating a negative mould. Initially, the raised portions thereon are coated with a first coating of material. Then, after drying of this coating of material, a further coating of material is applied which fills in the remaining areas of the negative mould and covers the first coating of material. Then the coating is again dried and pulled off from the negative mould as a finished product.
