<p>Weaving machine with an improved weft thread supply, more particularly a weaving machine of the type in which each weft thrad remains attached to the edge of the cloth between successive picks, where the supply (1) consists at least of: two thread preparation mechanisms (2, 3, 4, 5); a control unit (28) which in the case of a thread break (30) deactivates the corresponding thread preparation mechanism (2) and transfers its task to another thread preparation mechanisms (3, 4, 5); and a monitoring device (29) which in case of a thread break 30 sets a limit (G) to how much farther the broken section of weft thread (15A) still attached to the cloth (19) can move, where said monitoring device (29) supplies an output signal (31) for further processing at least at the moment said limit (G) is reached.</p> |
