PURPOSE:To enable printing to be performed even on a position where reading with a sensor can not be executed, by a method wherein a medium inside an apparatus is carried to be conformed to a visible position of a medium set part from a position to be printed by pushing down a switch installed outside the apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A medium to be printed is set to up/down paper suction ports 3, 4, and is carried to a printing bead position 1 by rotating rollers 5 via a belt 8 by driving of a motor 7 to perform printing. In that case, though a paper set exists at the up/down paper suction ports 3, 4, printing is performed only on either thereof. When the medium is set to either of up/down paper suction ports and a switch 6 is pushed down in order to confirm a printing position, operation is waited until printing is ended when on the way to printing and in other cases, an operation in which a position to be printed on the medium as it is conformed to a marking position 2 is performed. When on the way to printing, a purpose of the operation of waiting to completion of printing is to cause any character not to remain on the way to printing by returning once a printing head to a first character. |
