<p>PURPOSE:To ensure the stable drive of a tape by setting a pair of capstans at the tape supply and take-up sides of a rotary head and at the outside of the tape driving position and pressing a pair of pinch rollers to those capstans via the tape. CONSTITUTION:A pair of capstans 10 and 11 at the tape supply and take-up sides of a rotary head 7 respectively and at the outside of the driving position of the tape 3. Then a pair of pinch rollers 13 and 14 are pressed to the capstans 10 and 11 respectively via the tape 3. These capstans 10 and 11 are revolved synchronously with each other with both rollers 13 and 14 pressed respectively. Thus the tape 3 is driven at the same speed at both tape supply and take-up sides. As a result, the tape 3 is brought uniformly into contact with the head 7 and at the same time the tape tension can e kept at a constant level. Then the tape 3 is stably driven with the constant tension.</p> |
