PURPOSE:To reduce abrasion, by placing a specific abrasion member composed of organic binder between a vibration body producing traveling wave and a movable body. CONSTITUTION:A vibration body 2 is adhered to a piezoelectric body 1 then a movable body 3 is arranged through an abrasion member 4 onto the vibration body 2 thus constituting an ultrasonic motor. The abrasion member 4 is composed of fiber reinforced plastic where organic binder 5 is employed and a reinforcing fiber cloth 6 is arranged concentrically along the circumferential direction. The organic binder includes polyimid resin and the reinforcing fiber includes carbon fiber. By such arrangement, abrasion can be reduced even after long time driving and uniform friction contacting state can be realized. |
