The rotary programme switch has an insulating rotor (6) having a number of angularly spaced axial bores. Each bore receives a respective circuit component (7), brought into alignment with electrical contacts on opposite sides of the rotor (6) to complete the control circuit, in dependence on the rotor position. The contacts for the opposite sides of the rotor circuit components (7) are provided by a conductive raster plate (8) and a contact spring (9), with a central bore in the rotor (6) receiving a threaded setting screw, used to alter the rotor position and adjust the switch programme.
