A syringe has a breakable hard plastic cylinder with a bevelled end, a base fitting over the cylinder, and a locking groove for a piston in the base. The syringe pref. has a flexible plastic reservoir with a collar holding cotton wool, and a conical bore to the collar forming a seal with a needle protector or a cap. The piston is pref. of elastomer with a frontal section engaging the groove, is hollow and perforated, and contains a pellet of chemical forming a viscous emulsion in contact with soln. to be injected. ADVANTAGE - The syringe can only be used once, and thus cannot spread AIDS.
