摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To detect coordinates in positions corresponding to picture elements in the upper, lower right and left ends of a display screen by making the number of electrodes in an X electrode group and a Y electrode group larger than that of picture elements in the X direction and the picture elements in the Y direction of a display panel. CONSTITUTION:The number of matrix electrodes in the X transparent electrode group 11 and the Y transparent electrode group 12 are made larger than the number of picture elements in the X direction and picture elements in the Y direction of the display screen. Even if a pen 4 tip is on the Y transparent electrode 12-1 in the final end in the Y direction of the display screen, scan sin wave currents flow in the Y transparent electrodes 12-d and 12-2 on both sides of the electrode 12-1. Consequently, the Y-coordinate of the pen 4 is detected to be right above the electrode 12-1. Even if sin wave current scanning is executed for the electrode group 11, and the pen 4 tip is on the electrode 11-1 or 11k consisting the picture element in the final end in the X direction of the display screen, the X-coordinate can securely be detected.</p>
