<p>The device consists of a tube for holding the detonator intended for the firing of industrial explosives loaded in bulk in a shot hole. The holder consists of two concentric tubes of plastic material, such as polyethylene, bonded together at one end. The central tube holds the detonator and the larger concentric tube fits the end of the charging tube for the bulk explosive, this external tube, or case, is pierced with holes to allow of a better contact of the explosive with the detonator thus improving the confinement of the explosive and facilitating its detonation.</p> |
