摘要 PURPOSE:To treat a horny coat with no use of an eyeball holding equipment by letting a device be equipped with an intensity distribution forming means allowing the intensity distribution of laser beams to be a specified one, with a monitor means monitoring the movement of a section to be irradiated and with a photo damping means damping the laser beams by signals from the monitor means. CONSTITUTION:Laser beams coming out of a laser beam source 1 come into an intensity distribution forming optical system 2 so as to form a photo beam cross section for a specified intensity distribution for passing through a dichromic mirror 3 so that they are irradiated onto the horny coat Ec of an eye E to be examined. The horny coat is evapotranspired depending on the specified intensity of the irradiated laser beams so that the horny coat is formed into a specified radius of curvature. The light of reflection from the eye E to be examined comes into a monitor means 4 monitoring the movement of the eye to be examined via the di-chromic mirror 3 so as to let the movement of the eye E to be examined be detected so that the laser beams are interrupted by an interrupting means 5 when the eye E to be examined moves. By this constitution, the laser beams with the specified intensity distribution can be simultaneously irradiated onto the whole area of the horny coat of the eye to be treated, the irradiation of the laser beams can be damped at a moment when the eye to be examined moves so as to let the laser beams be irradiated again after the position has been aligned, safe operations can thereby be performed with no use of any eyeball holding equipment.
