Device enabling an appliance to be hooked up equally well to hat-shaped support-rails of two or more widths. The appliance has a hook 4 and lock 5 for its hooking onto a first rail 2. The plinth 3 of the appliance carries a second fixed hook 8, and the lock 5 carries a second movable hook 9, for hooking the appliance onto a second rail 7 of different width from that of the first rail 2, in the case where it is intended for hooking equally well onto two rails. <IMAGE>
