PURPOSE:To provide the subject DNA having a specific base sequence carrying a genetic information of beta-mannase and useful for the production of beta-mannase, by separating and purifying from an alkalophilic bacterial strain belonging to genus Bacillus. CONSTITUTION:The beta-mannase gene DNA contains one recognition site with restriction enzyme XbaI, one recognition site with restriction enzyme PstI, one recognition site with restriction enzyme MstI, one recognition site with restriction enzyme BClI, one recognition site with restriction enzyme MflI, one recognition site with restriction enzyme BglII, one recognition site with restriction enzyme NCoI and one recognition site with restriction enzyme NdeI. The DNA can be separated and purified from an alkalophilic bacterial strain of genus Bachillus [e.g., AM-001 (FERM P-8856)]. beta-Mannase can be advantageously produced by culturing E.coli transformed with a recombinant plasmid linked with the above DNA. |
