PURPOSE:To maintain a grinding performance at its maximum level and allow a fire never to break out by adding moisture to grinding oil so as to obtain the moisture content of oil which has been adjusted according to the situation where sparks occurs at grinding. CONSTITUTION:The automatic sampling and analysis of moisture contained in grinding oil from a tank 2 are performed, so that the current moisture content of the oil is obtained. And the value of the result is transmitted to a sequencer, so that the quantity of moisture to be supplied is obtained therein according to the total oil quantity (from level instruments 1 and 2) at that time and a predetermined moisture content for each workpiece. Consequently, when the workpiece is a material difficult to be ground (material where sparks easily occur), its grinding is carried out while the moisture is automatically supplied for the prevention of a fire. And when a normal ground material (material where sparks never occur) is adopted, the supply of the moisture is canceled, and the moisture is evaporated due to grinding heat, so that a grinding performance can be enhanced. |
